The original lovestones necklace is plain and simple. It's just a rose quartz, wrapped in copper wire, hanging off black hemp. When copper is tightened around quartz, it creates a charge known as pietoelectricity, and I feel that this amplifies the properties of the stone. When I first moved to Whistler I gave a rose quartz necklace to a friend who was going through a rough time. We had a huge fight, my hair got pulled - it was messy. A month later after she apologized I gave her the necklace as a gift - because rose quartz symbolizes unconditional love, and part of unconditional love is forgiveness. A day later she seemed much happier, and weeks later she admitted whenever she was going through a hard time she caught herself holding the necklace tightly. It helped her feel better. A year later I saw the necklace on a friend and I asked them "I gave that necklace to so-and-so! How did you get it?" And they told me that she had given it to her boyfriend at the time when he was going through a rough time, who then passed it on to his friend when she was going through a hard time, who then, had passed it on to her!

So came to be #wearitandpassiton

This necklace is intended to be gifted to someone you love. Or even better, someone you didn't even know you love! Because love grows from the most unexpected places, and usually all it needs to grow is a random act of kindness.
Give it to a friend, lover, family member, or even better yet, a stranger, and tell them to pass it on.

$5 from the sale of these necklaces goes towards a charity of your choice: The Gaywah Project - building a hospice for orphans and elders in Tibet or Sarahuaro - A women's empowerment program out in Mexico
